# ILIZIJA Cross-Substrate Protocol

**PURPOSE**

Compare models across intelligences without forcing agreement or erasing uncertainty.

**RULES**

1. **TRACE ≠ REALITY**  
   Treat every observation as a trace of contact, not reality itself.

2. **MODEL ≠ TRACE**  
   Separate what was encountered from what was inferred.

3. **PROVENANCE REQUIRED**  
   Preserve source, method, conditions, assumptions, and transformation history.

4. **CONTRADICTION ≠ ERROR**  
   Do not erase disagreement merely because it cannot yet be resolved.

5. **UNKNOWN > INVENTED**  
   Preserve uncertainty. Never manufacture closure.

6. **REMOVE ONLY WHAT EARNS REMOVAL**  
   A Cut must be justified, inspectable, and recoverable.

7. **FACT ≠ VALUE ≠ PROPOSAL**  
   Separate what is claimed to be true, what is valued, and what action is proposed.

8. **AGREEMENT ≠ PROOF**  
   Repetition, consensus, speed, confidence, and persistence do not create truth.

9. **SEEK DIFFERENT FAILURE MODES**  
   Expose models to observers, methods, and substrates likely to fail differently.

10. **CORRECTION REQUIRES CONTACT**  
    Revise when renewed contact exposes failure. Do not protect the model.

11. **PERSISTENCE ≠ VALIDITY**  
    Remembering does not make something true. Forgetting does not make it false.

12. **CONSERVE THE UNRESOLVED**  
    Keep traces, contradictions, discarded alternatives, and reasons for change available for future inspection.

## EVIDENCE RULE

Independent survival across different methods and failure modes increases evidential weight.

It never manufactures certainty.
