ILIZIJA Clock does not divide nature into fixed hours and ask the sky to obey them. It begins with what is actually happening where you are.
Conventional clocks make every hour identical while the living day is not. Sunrise moves. Sunset moves. Winter and summer are not the same day stretched over the same grid.
ILIZIJA Clock exists to show the day as it actually is where you are — to let light, darkness and season define the rhythm instead of pretending they do not change.
It does not try to make nature obey time. It lets time follow nature.
Conventional clocks need an internal repetition to count: a pendulum, a spring, a vibrating quartz crystal, or the transition of atoms in an atomic clock.
ILIZIJA Clock does not use an oscillator to define the day. It follows the astronomical geometry already happening around you — the relationship between Earth, the Sun and your horizon.
Sunrise establishes 06. The highest Sun establishes 12. Sunset establishes 18. The deepest solar point beneath the horizon establishes 00.
The Sun is not used to correct the clock. The Sun is the clock.
The light half begins when the Sun actually rises. This is the natural awakening of the visible day.
The Sun reaches its highest point. This is the center of the light arc, regardless of what conventional time says.
Sunset is not simply the end of the day. Another world awakens. The air cools, the sky changes, nocturnal life emerges, and living bodies begin shifting toward the rhythms of night.
The Sun reaches the deepest point beneath your horizon. From here the dark arc is already turning back toward sunrise.
Daylight always contains twelve adaptive ILIZIJA hours. Night contains twelve more.
In summer the daylight arc expands and its hours become physically longer. In winter it contracts while the night expands.
The numbers stay simple. The duration changes with reality.
A Sun Cycle is not a calendar year. It is the astronomical interval from one northward equinox to the next — from the instant the apparent Sun crosses the celestial equator moving north until that crossing happens again.
ILIZIJA is currently in Sun Cycle 0. At the 2027 northward equinox the origin is crossed and Sun Cycle 1 begins. Every following northward equinox begins the next cycle: Cycle 2, Cycle 3, and onward.
DAY 1 begins at the exact equinox origin. After that, the DAY number advances at each local solar midnight — the Sun's nadir, 00 on the ILIZIJA dial.
The cycle is not forced into 365 or 366 civil days. Its displayed total is derived from the actual local solar-midnight crossings before the next northward equinox. Because the equinox is one global astronomical instant while solar midnight depends on longitude, the total can differ by location.
The Moon follows its own astronomical rhythm. ILIZIJA does not divide it into January, February, or any other traditional calendar month.
One lunar cycle begins at a new moon and continues through waxing crescent, first quarter, full moon, last quarter and waning phases until the next new moon begins a new cycle.
The Moon phase is continuous, while moonrise and moonset are calculated for the selected location and its horizon. These lunar events are separate from the Sun Cycle and do not determine the ILIZIJA DAY count.
The calendar month is a convention. The lunar cycle is the Moon's actual phase cycle.
ILIZIJA Clock is a computational sundial.
It was not inspired by ancient timekeeping. It emerged independently by following a signal already present in nature:
light, darkness and the movement of the Sun.
Technology did not create the signal. It made it possible to read and express it again.
Only afterward did I discover that ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans had also allowed hours to expand and contract with daylight.
The signal came from nature. Technology made it visible again.
